When is graduation?

Graduation for the Class of 2026 will take place on June 9th from 6:30-8:30 pm at McCaw Hall, 321 Mercer Street, Seattle.

When will tickets be on sale, and how many does each graduating senior get?

Each graduating senior will receive two complimentary tickets and can purchase up to three additional tickets. The cost per additional ticket is $25 each from 4/1-5/8 and $30 starting in mid-May.

When and where will students receive their tickets?

Provided they do not have any outstanding fines, students will receive their complimentary tickets and any purchased tickets at their Senior Check-Out on either Friday, June 5th, or Monday, June 8th.

What will the schedule be on graduation day for the graduating seniors?

Seniors MUST be at MIHS by 1:00 pm SHARP on June 9th for a 1:15 pm bus departure to McCaw Hall. They will rehearse from roughly 2:00-4:00 pm, eat from 4:00-5:00 pm, and begin lining up for the graduation ceremony at 5:30 pm. Parents will not see their students until after the graduation ceremony at roughly 8:30 pm, at which point the graduates have time to take a few pictures with friends and family before being whisked away to their Grad Night festivities.

Will graduates have an opportunity to eat between leaving school at 1 pm and the graduation ceremony?

Yes. As long as you purchase a boxed lunch for them through Intouch Receipting. Students will eat their boxed lunches between the graduation rehearsal and lining up for the ceremony. The cost for lunch is $25. We realize this seems like a lot, and we promise we have done an exhaustive search for less expensive options. As it stands, we are subsidizing the cost to bring it down to $25.
