Sports REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER, FALL, WINTER, SPRING 2022-2023
Summer Activities: Only an ER Crd is required for incoming 9th graders to participate. When you arrive, please give the Er Card directly to the coach. (They do not get turned into the Athletic Office)
Some of our sports offer conditioning activities BEFORE the sports season begins. If this involves you, please read the important information below, otherwise, scroll down.
To participate in these activities, please register for that sport with the 2022-2023 initial Athletic Packet. If you have participated in a sport this school year, your sports packet carries over to summer activities as well any other off-season conditioning activities. Incoming 9th graders DO NOT need to submit a packet, they just need to bring the ER Card and give it to coach. Emergency Contact Card
Each school year, it is required that a new sports eligibility packet be completed. The only item that carries over is the sports physical signed by a physician(they are good for 2 years from the date of the exam).

The Athletic Office is open Mon-Fri 7:00 am-3:15 pm.
ALL students wanting to participate in a Fall Sport must turn in a sports packet to be eligible to participate on the first day.
*Note for incoming 9th graders,your sports physicals on file at the Middle School do not transfer to the athletic office. You will need to supply a current physical with your sports packet*
Please refer to the Important Announcement page regarding the changes to each sports season. Please check in with the athletic office if you have any questions. Things are constantly being changed regarding sports during this time.
Online Sports Registration (you can register for all sports starting July 25th)
Athletic Fee: $250.00 per sport per season, No Free 3rd Sport
*All previous sports fees must be paid prior to participating in the next sports season*
ASB CARD (Fee $70) must be purchased in order to participate in any sport.
* Please Note: Uniform and Equipment Late Fee Policy: It is understood that when uniforms are not returned in by the designated time set by the coach, a $25.00 late fee will be assessed as well as replacement cost of the uniform and/ or equipment for that sport.
* Refund Notice (please refer to Eligibility Handbook): If the Athletic Office is notified no later than the second full week of practice, a refund will be given in full. There will be no refunds issued after this date.*

Eligibility Packets & Sports Registration Process

Sports registration for 2022-2023 is a 2-step process:
1) Online Registration Online Registration
(You will need to use your Skyward Family Access to login and password OR use the students ID number ( minus the leading zero) and last name as username and password).
2) Return Athletic Packet to Athletic Office: email is preferred method (2022-2023 Athletic Packet)
For A non-cut sport payment is due at the time of registration. If the sport is a cut sport, payment is required once cuts have been made and your son/daughter has made the team.
NOTE: If you are transferring from a non-MISD school, please contact the Athletic Office for instructions.
Registration Process:
Please log onto: https://wa-mercerislandschools.org/
1) Click on Online Payment Box on the MIHS home page (Lower right corner)
2) Use your Skyward Family user name and Password for access
3) Select students name
4) Select "Items at all schools"
5) Select "High School"
6) Select "Mercer island High School"
7) Select "Sports"
8) Select "2021-2022 Sports Registration and Payment"
9) Select Registration Forms
10) Select registration.
11) Select Checkout Step 1: Additional Information and fill out the form.
12) Select Checkout. A receipt will appear if you have registered correctly.
To Make a Payment On-Line:
(For cut sports, please do not make payment until your son or daughter has made the team)
1) Complete Steps above, but select the appropriate sport fee.
2) Make payment
