Athletic and Activities Code
At Mercer Island High School, we believe student participants should be held to high standards to help them succeed both academically and personally. The Athletic/Activity Code reflects that belief by setting clear expectations and outlining consequences for violations.
What Is the Athletic/Activity Code?
The Athletic/Activity Code outlines student and coach responsibilities and identifies behaviors that may result in disciplinary action, including:
-
Drug and alcohol use
-
Disruptive conduct
-
Bullying or harassment
This code applies to all students participating in:
-
Sports
-
Musical ensembles
-
Leadership roles
-
Clubs and other co-curricular activities
These students represent Mercer Island High School at public events and are therefore held to a higher standard.
Note: The code does not apply during the summer
