Calla and Lila are the hosts of Passion For Fashion, which airs on KMIH 88.9 The Bridge on Tuesdays at 3pm and can be found on Spotify.
Studio 13 Live hosts Carly Henderson and Mireya Garcia spoke to Calla and Lila about what inspired them to create the podcast, who their dream guests for the podcast are, recent topics the podcast has covered, and what they want listeners to take away from listening to the podcast.
Natalie highlighted the radio program at MIHS and how it helps students find their voice, creativity, and self-expression – all while learning the art of storytelling through radio. Natalie also spoke to Carly and Mireya about KMIH being named the best high school radio station in the country at the 2025 Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) Awards and the 2024 John Drury Awards. Student shows, podcasts, and productions have won numerous awards at the IBS Awards and Drury Awards over the years.

After the segment on Passion For Fashion the group met up with MIHS Class of 2023 alumnus Sophia Azzano who is interning this summer at FOX 13 Seattle. Sophia was a radio broadcast student and took classes with Anna and was a student in Natalie’s class multiple times.
We are very appreciative of the opportunity Studio 13 Live provided MISD to broadcast student voice, celebrate student successes, and feature our innovative teachers.
