MIHS ECAAR Club Night Market is Sunday, March 2
Mercer Island, WA, February 3, 2025 – The MIHS Education Coalition for Asian American Representation (ECAAR) Club will host their annual Night Market on Sunday, March 2 from 4-8pm in the Commons at Mercer Island High School.
The Night Market will feature vendors such as Happy Lemon and Saigon Drip in the upper Commons. There will also be special booths organized by MIHS students. Special this year, there will be performances in the lower Commons.
Attendees will be able to purchase a variety of delicious food and participate in fun activities such as race car simulations while also watching cultural performances like wushu. Another special feature this year is that MIHS principal Nick Wold will be auctioning off an all-paid meal with him. If you are interested in speaking with Mr. Wold, be sure to attend.
The purpose of the Night Market is to “educate the community about Asian culture, but in a fun and interactive way” says MIHS senior and co-president of ECAAR Cece Wang. She goes on to say “seeing the happy faces that leave the Night Market each year is what motivates us to keep doing it each year. While it is difficult, the Night Market is a platform for which the community can come together and celebrate.”
