Meelod Shaterian Named New Head Coach of MIHS Boys Soccer Team
Mercer Island, WA, January 30, 2025 – Mercer Island High School Athletic Director Lindsey Blaine announced today Meelod Shaterian has been named the new MIHS boys soccer coach.
"I’m excited to start working with this talented group of student-athletes and hope to contribute to the program’s continued success at all levels for years to come. I look forward to connecting with the program’s supportive, tight-knit community,” said Shaterian.
Shaterian has a significant coaching background as a coach with the Sounders Discovery Program, a head coach with the Elite Player Development (EPD) program where he has led his EPD teams to back-to-back Far West Regional Championships, and coaching three teams at Seattle United, with his 2009 birth year boys team recently securing their first league title in the top division of the Regional Club League.
Additionally, he works individually with top youth talent, helping players reach the collegiate and professional levels.
A passionate Liverpool supporter, Shaterian enjoys traveling, movies, and spending time with family and friends in his free time.
