Mark Nowak Named New MIHS Girls Soccer Head Coach

Mercer Island, WA, April 8, 2026 - Mercer Island High School Athletic Director Lindsey Blaine is pleased to announce Mark Nowak has been named the new MIHS girls head soccer coach.

“I’m honored to be named the Head Coach of Mercer Island Girls Soccer and excited for the opportunity to be part of such a strong school and community,” said Nowak.

“This is already a high performing program, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation and taking it to the next level. My goal is to create a connected, competitive environment where players are challenged to grow both on and off the field. I’m passionate about developing a culture centered on accountability, leadership, and pride, where players take ownership and represent Mercer Island at a high standard every day. I look forward to getting to know the players, families, and community, and to building something special together,” continued Nowak.
