Mercer Island, WA, July 24, 2025 - KMIH 88.9 The Bridge is back on the air for Log Boom Radio, broadcasting live from Seafair Weekend on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
This marks the sixth year that Mercer Island High School’s award-winning, student-run radio station has brought Seafair to listeners across the region. From the roar of the Unlimited Hydroplane races on Lake Washington, to the breathtaking Blue Angels air show, student broadcasters will be capturing the energy and excitement of this iconic Seattle summer tradition.
Catch all the action as KMIH students go behind the scenes to bring listeners live interviews, unique stories, color commentary and up-to-the-minute details on the Apollo Mechanical Cup hydroplane races and Boeing Seafair Airshow.

Students from KMIH 88.9 The Bridge, Mercer Island High School’s award-winning radio station, have once again earned national recognition for excellence in broadcasting at the prestigious John Drury High School Radio Awards, hosted by North Central College and WONC 89.1 FM in Naperville, Illinois.
