Mercer Island, WA, May 21, 2025 – Mercer Island High School senior girls’ lacrosse player Chelsea Cho was featured on the Prep Zone on KING 5 Sports by Sports Reporter Chris Egan Tuesday night.

Chelsea and girls’ lacrosse head coach Lyndsey Gillis were interviewed at Islander Stadium on Monday, May 19, a few days after the lacrosse season ended. The lacrosse team lost in heartbreaking fashion, 8-7, to Seattle Prep in the State Championship final on Friday, May 16.

Chelsea played for Team Korea at an international event in January and Chris talked to her about this experience, her senior season of lacrosse at MIHS, the MIHS lacrosse program overall, and where she will be playing lacrosse next season.

MIHS juniors Sadie Kim and Nadia Slivinski joined Chelsea for some lacrosse drills for Egan and KING 5 videographer Tait Miller to record for the story.

On November 6, 2024 Egan highlighted MIHS cross country runners Owen Powell, Victoria Rodriguez, and Sophia Rodriguez in the Prep Zone.
