David Woo Named New MIHS Wrestling Coach
Mercer Island, WA, October 26, 2023 – Mercer Island High School Athletic Director Lindsey Blaine announced today David Woo has been selected as the new head coach of the school’s wrestling team.
“I am excited to be a part of the Mercer Island High family and for the upcoming season,” said Woo. “I am looking forward to working with our student athletes, their families, and our community on a successful season.”
Woo wrestled for four years at Bonney Lake High School, which he graduated from in 2017. He wrestled at 106-pounds from freshman to junior year, placing fourth at the state championship in 2014 and third at the state championship in 2015. Woo graduated from Washington State University in 2021.
