29 MIHS Student Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent
Mercer Island, WA, June 6, 2023 – Tuesday afternoon at Mercer Island High School 29 seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate and university sports next year in a ceremony in the high school Commons.
“We are very proud of our 26 student athletes who are signing national letters of intent today,” said MIHS Athletic Coordinator Lindsey Blaine. “Thank you to all our coaches who are dedicated to our students and have helped them get to this point. We congratulate our athletes and their families and will be watching them proudly next year as they pursue athletic success at the next level.”
Parents, coaches, and friend of the student athletes attended the signing ceremony.
The 29 student athletes are attending 24 different colleges or universities next year.
Nine members of the MIHS boys’ baseball team will be playing the sport at the next level. A combined five soccer athletes, four swim and dive athletes, and three lacrosse athletes will be playing at the college/university level.
