26 MIHS Student Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent
Mercer Island, WA, June 4, 2025 – Wednesday afternoon 26 Mercer Island High School seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate and university sports next year in a ceremony in the high school gym.
“Congratulations to our incredible student-athletes signing to compete at the collegiate level,” said MIHS Athletic Director Lindsey Blaine. “Your relentless work, resilience, and passion have led you to this exciting milestone. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to watching you thrive in this next chapter. Go make your mark!”
The 26 student athletes are attending 24 different colleges or universities next year. The combined GPA of the MIHS athletes is 3.73.
MIHS student athletes going on to play at the next level represent 16 different sports. There are six lacrosse players, three boys and three girls, who will play college lacrosse next year. Four sports, boys soccer, girls swimming, boys wrestling, boys baseball, and track and field will see two or more athletes each play at the collegiate level next year. Nine other sports had one MIHS athlete sing national letters of intent today.
Parents, coaches, and friends of the student athletes attended the signing ceremony.
