MIHS Band Students who performed at the Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest
Mercer Island, WA, April 28, 2026 - Congratulations to the 18 MIHS band students who performed at this weekend's Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
All students played brilliantly, with the following students winning or placing in their categories:
Winner - Large Brass Category
MIHS Trumpet Ensemble: Members - Max Janes, Olivia Azzano, Caden Davidson, Sean Hogan, Walter Latkowski, Gitanjali Krishnan, Jibran Qadeer.
Winner - Small Brass Category
MIHS Trombone Quartet: Members - Oliver Lee, Owen Clarkson, Derek Hsi, Eva Jantos.
