Title: CMA425&CMA426--PRECALCULUS
Pre-Requisite: credit through Algebra 2 CMA 341 & CMA 342
Course Description: Students will master polynomials, rationals, exponentials, and logarithms, including solving, graphing, applications, and describing characteristics. Students learn how to apply concepts and problem solving skills to a variety of situations. The students continue to study trigonometric functions, both in radians and degrees. Sequences are extended to work with Series. All concepts will be explained algebraically, graphically, verbally, and numerically. Daily homework will be assigned.
Work Load: Formative/Summative; approximately 45 min. daily or 3 hours weekly
Why would you be interested in the Class: If a student is planning to study calculus in college or at the high school level, a year of Precalculus is needed preparation.
