Title:  HFL400--PERSONAL FINANCE

Pre-Requisite: None

Course Description:  This course provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to prepare for college and beyond. Students will become informed consumers, savers, investors, and members of a global workforce and society. The major areas of study will be credit and debt, saving and investing, budgeting, insurance and automobiles, income, taxes, and consumer protection. A variety of guest speakers also provide perspectives and advice in this course. Additionally, students participate in a mock job interview.

Work Load:  Individual work and a Mock Interview event

Why would you be interested in the Class:  Students who want to become financially independent. Discover how to file taxes, use bank accounts and credit cards, save, invest, and make important purchases.
