Title: ITE369/ITE368 - CS3ADVPROGDATASTRCT
Pre-Requisite: ITE411/ITE412 - CS2 AP COMP SCI
Course Description: Demonstrate how to solve computational problems using classic algorithms, such as binary search trees and linked lists, and incorporating elements of searching, sorting, hashing, and stacking. An AP Computer Science A certificate demonstrating ability to design and analyze solutions to problems, organize data using arrays and classes, design programs following an object-oriented approach, document code, and Java experience are recommended. Advanced topics such as exception handling, multithreading, networking, databases, GUIs, version control, and software protection are also covered. Apply this knowledge within challenging group projects that demonstrate proficiency in computer science state standards.
Work Load: All tasks will be completed in class. The AP Computer Programming A course culminates in a capstone project. Each student selects a capstone project of their choice.
Why would you be interested in the Class: As part of the course, students apply all of their programming knowledge to a comprehensive project that showcases their talents for universities or jobs.
