Title: CMA521&CMA522--INTRO TO CALCULUS

Pre-Requisite: Precalculus CMA 435 & CMA 426

Course Description: This course is designed for the senior who wants a college-equivalent experience in math course content. Application of prior concepts will be reviewed to ensure student preparation for college calculus. Calculus topics will be explores using non-transcendental functions. Rigor and conceptual development are emphasized with the expectation that students are prepared to study advanced mathematics. As is the case in a college mathematics course, students are expected to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations. This course does not include preparation for an AP Calculus examination. Daily homework will be assigned.

Work Load: Formative/Summative; approximately 2 hrs. weekly
