Title:  HFL300--PER FAM RELS HEALTH (previously titled Personal Family Relationships)

Pre-Requisite: None

Course Description:  This course covers topics relevant to 11th and 12th graders, including health education and preparation for an independent lifestyle. A variety of topics will be covered, such as nutrition, stress management, fitness, finance, communication skills, and personal health concerns. Other topics may include issues dictated by students’ needs. In addition, students will receive training and certification in CPR and First Aid. During the course, students will learn from outstanding professionals and community members.

Work Load:  Group work, individual work, small projects, formative and summative assessments. Almost all work is completed in class. Very little homework outside of class.

Why would you be interested in the Class:  Upperclassmen who would like to further develop their autonomy and learn how to live as an independent adult.
