Title:  GME501&GME502--JOURNALISM 1

Pre-Requisite: None

Course Description:  The course is designed to teach students how to write and edit news articles, feature stories, editorials, and sports reports. Studying relevant state and federal laws will teach students ethical practices in journalism. Students will also gain practical experience by writing articles for the school newspaper, The Islander. Along with journalistic writing, students will gain experience in desktop publishing, page layout, proofreading, advertising, and photography.

Work Load:  Group/Individual; articles; photography
