Title: GME414&GME415--ADV RADIO BRDCAST
Pre-Requisite: GME 411 and 412 Radio Broadcasting and Podcasting
Course Description: Students focus on expanding their communication, production and programming skills by assisting with the day-to-day operations of our award-winning KMIH radio station. This class is designed for second year broadcasting students who wish to continue studying Broadcast Media Arts. Gain a thorough and in-depth knowledge of how a broadcast facility operates while creating content and honing their broadcasting and podcasting skills. Assume a leadership role and get in-depth training focused on music programming, sports broadcasting, audio production, public service campaigns, news reporting, podcasting and broadcast and web technology.
Work Load: The majority of the work is done during class time and is hands-on. Also, there are opportunities to cover MIHS sports outside of school hours. Many KMIH students also choose to compete for national broadcasting and podcasting awards, and we have a national reputation for excellence.
Why would you be interested in the Class: For students who successfully completed Intro to Broadcast Media and want to continue to produce shows and podcasts as well as take a deeper dive into operating KMIH and learning about the broadcasting industry this class is the next step!
