Pre-Requisite: B or above in French 3 is recommended to be successful in French 4

Course Description: The course is intended for students in their fourth year of French. There is a strong emphasis on using French in class. Students will have opportunities to improve their listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills, and writing skills. Grammar will be taught in context. Additionally, students will study contemporary culture in Francophone countries by examining authentic materials. The focus of the class will be communication, and students are expected to be active participants.

Work Load: There is 40 minutes of nightly homework.

Why would you be interested in the Class: By 2050 French is predicted to be the most spoken mother tongue on the planet. Why? There are 33 African countries that speak French and 1 in 4 people on the planet will be African by 2050.
