Title:  FAV375--ADV GLASS ART

Pre-Requisite:  FAV370- Glass Art

Course Description:  In this course, students will build on the skills and techniques developed in Glass Art. Students will refine their skills in kiln glass fusing and slumping, mosaics, stained glass, and enameling. The use of powders and frits, as well as screen printing, will be introduced as additional processes. By combining elements and principles of design, students will develop a unique body of work that represents their artistic voice. During the course of the semester, students will be assessed based on class participation, quizzes, group critiques, and evaluations of their projects.

Work Load:  Students will be assessed on class participation, quizzes, group critiques, and evaluation of your projects.

Why would you be interested in the Class:  The possibilities are endless when it comes to combining color and form with fused glass. Students become active participants in their education in this hands-on course. Critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of the subject are developed through this approach.
