Title:  FAV370--GLASS ART

Pre-Requisite: None

Course Description:  Students will learn basic techniques for glass fusing and slumping, mosaics, and enameling in this course. Students will gain hands-on experience with kiln-formed glass and sheet glass. They will explore the use of accessory glass, such as powders, frits, stringers, and metal foil, to create unique fused glass pieces. Projects may include decorative plates, dishes, glassware, mosaics, jewelry, ornaments, coasters, and more. The students will be assessed based on class participation, quizzes, group critiques, and evaluations of their projects.

Work Load:  Students will be assessed on class participation, quizzes, group critiques, and evaluation of your projects.

Why would you be interested in the Class:  The possibilities are endless when it comes to combining color and form with fused glass. Students become active participants in their education in this hands-on course. Critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deeper understanding of the subject are developed through this approach.
