Title: FAV350--ADV DRAWING PAINTIN
Pre-Requisite: FAV300 Drawing and Painting
Course Description: This is a more in depth focused course that provides an opportunity for students to expand on the Drawing and Painting course concepts. Emphasis is placed on experiences with design principles, drawing techniques and painting skills. This leads to the development of abilities necessary for advanced art courses. Students are given more creative problems to solve while becoming more adept through a broad exposure to various media. Student work often is displayed throughout the school.
Work Load: Group work occasionally but mostly individual work. This is heavy in projects and individualized concepts of higher level thinking and problem solving.
Why would you be interested in the Class: An artist's most fundamental skills are drawing and painting. This program is designed for experienced young artists who wish to study these fundamental media in depth. The course is an excellent stepping stone to AP Drawing and the development of a professional portfolio for college or internships.
There is a student art fee and they need to provide a sketchbook.
