Title:  FAV210--ADV CERAMIC

Pre-Requisite:  FAV200 - Ceramic

Course Description:  This course builds on previous hand building techniques and advanced glaze application. Students will complete larger assignments that require more complex construction. Their sculptures will be made from life and they will experiment with surface decoration. They will also plan, research, and create an independent project based on a theme or construct a project of their choosing and maintain a blog where all of their work and creative process will be documented and shared. The course supports AP Studio 3D.

Work Load:  Students who use class time wisely will have little to no homework.  Assignments can be completed written, orally, or through video submission.

Why would you be interested in the Class:  The techniques and skills gained in this class are the same techniques and skills used in real-life industries. This course will teach students how to run a studio safely, as well as how to create and finish pieces that can be sold.
