Course Description:    The MIHS Orchestra classes study string and symphonic orchestra literature. Age- appropriate technical development is emphasized. Chamber Orchestra is the top ensemble, performing the most challenging repertoire, and is accessible by audition only to students entering grades 10-12. Our orchestras perform several concerts per year and travel to perform at festivals across the state and country. Assessment includes participation, concerts, and tests. Why would you be interested in the Class:   Students interested in expanding their experience with Orchestral and Chamber music performance as well as their personal skills on violin, viola, cello, and bass. Chamber Orchestra provides the greatest challenge for students interested in taking their skills to the highest level!
