Title:  DSC631&DSC632--AP PHYSICS C MECH

Pre-Requisite:  Calculus, completed or concurrent enrollment; two semesters of high school physics

Course Description:    This is a college level physics course designed for students interested in science and engineering. Two semesters of high school physics are required, as is familiarity with calculus. Taking calculus concurrently is permitted. Kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, rotation, oscillation, and gravity are some of the topics covered in this course. College credit may be awarded for qualifying scores on the AP Physics C Mechanics exam. AP course students are encouraged to take the AP examination.

Work Load:  Students will complete problem sets, laboratory reports, and prepare for tests; students should certainly expect to spend 1 hour outside of class per hour of time in class.
