Course Description:    Advanced topics in biological sciences will be covered in this challenging course. Critical thinking, discussion of ideas, and writing are all expected. Advanced scientific methods and tools will be used for the experiments. Evolution, genetics, biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, scientific investigation, and information representation in biological systems are studied. In this class, students will develop college-level laboratory skills. College credit may be awarded for qualifying AP Biology scores. AP course students are encouraged to take the AP examination, for which they will be prepared throughout the year.
