Title:  DSC343--CHEMISTRY 2 HON

Pre-Requisite:  Chemistry 1, Biology, Algebra I and Geometry

Course Description:  Designed to complete the year of chemistry and physics started in Chemistry 1H/Physics 1H. Prepares students for advanced science courses, such as AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Environmental Science. With this course, students will learn to take initial ideas and turn them into a more powerful understanding of scientific concepts. Problem-solving and observation are emphasized. In the classroom, students solve problems in small groups, conduct laboratory investigations, and engage in class discussions.

Work Load:  2 hours per week outside of class. Individual assignments and preparation for assessments, group lab work and analyses

Why would you be interested in the Class:  This course is taught at an accelerated pace and is designed for those who want an honors environment. Students generally take this course to set themselves up for success when taking an AP science course in the following year.
