Title:  CMA341&CMA342--ALGEBRA 2

Pre-Requisite: Geometry; CMA 271 & CMA 272

Course Description: This course covers sequences, polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, and statistical inference. Real numbers are extended to include complex numbers. A combination of algebraic, graphical, verbal, and numerical methods will be used to master the State Standards for Algebra 2. Through the course of the year, students will be asked to integrate their skill and application with appropriate calculator use. Homework is assigned on a daily basis.

Work Load: Formative/Summative; approximately 20-30 min. daily/2-3 hrs. weekly

Why would you be interested in the Class: Students need this foundational course to continue their mathematical progression in high school. Students intending to take next Precalculus, AP Stats, or Advanced Algebra with Financial applications.
