Course Description: This course is designed in how to protect your data, electronic systems, and networks against cyber attacks. Some common topics will include identity and access management, internet topology, secure network design, remote access and VPNs, data privacy, AI, Wifi, and forensics. We will also cover some cyber attacks such as phishing, insecure applications, privilege escalation, ransomware, MITM (Man in the Middle), ddos, and insider threats. Students will understand the breadth and scope of security issues on personal, corporate, national, and global levels.

Work Load: Individual and group work will be required, as well as lab work. The majority of the work will be done in class. The expectation is that students will use time outside the classroom if the class time provided is not sufficient for comprehension. Homework is generally expected to be light.
