Pre-Requisite: ITE411/ITE412 - CS2 AP COMP SCI
Course Description: Students will be given the time to create a self-chosen comprehensive group project over the course of nine months showcasing their programming skills for post secondary choices. In addition to learning about data structures such as binary search trees, linked lists, hashes, and stacks, this course will also cover topics such as exception handling, multithreading, networking, databases, GUI, version control, software protection, and the software development cycle. Students are recommended to have successfully completed AP Computer Science A to have the foundational skills needed that will not be covered during this course as well familiarity with the Java programming language.
Work Load: All tasks will be completed in class. The AP Computer Programming A course culminates in a capstone project. Each student selects a capstone project of their choice.
