Course Description: This course will introduce you to the computer programming fundamentals of object-oriented programming and game design. You will learn concepts in event driven and data driven programming, game engine data structures, basic game related graphics, programming logic, and AI concepts. This is a hands-on course in which you will work individually and in teams to design, build, test, and demonstrate a beta version of a game. This course will also cover the basics of the software development cycle and how a game company functions.

Work Load: This course will have a pretty light workload and use only class time. It is designed for students who already have some programming experience to complete beginners.

Why You Might Be Interested In The Class: This is a great opportunity to start learning how to program. It is also for those seeking to start understanding how to code games using engines such as Unity. This course would also satisfy the pre-requisite for the AP Computer Science A class.
