Course Description: Students will gain practical knowledge about mental, emotional, physical, and sexual health in this course. Among the topics studied are mental health awareness, violence & bullying, communication skills, healthy coping techniques, nutrition, human sexuality, and substance abuse. Additionally, students complete a research project on a disease of their choice. There are several guest speakers who come into class to share their expertise. Students will become certified in First Aid & CPR at the end of the course.

Work Load: Group, individual, projects. Little to no homework.

Why You Might Be Interested In The Class: Students who want a more hands-on teacher-guided experience covering vital life skills. Image Health also has a number of engaging guest speakers and little to no homework. Much of the coursework is done during the school day.
