Course Description: In this course, students dive into the art and science of visual storytelling, exploring how ideas come to life through film, video, and digital media. They learn the fundamentals of cinematography, editing, sound design, and storyboarding while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and software. From concept development to final cut, students collaborate on projects that reflect their unique voices and perspectives, analyzing the impact of media on culture and society along the way. The course fosters creativity, technical skill, and critical thinking, preparing students for careers in media production and empowering them to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Work Load: Students participate in hands-on, individual/group, project-based productions in this course. Among this work is the weekly MIHS television show, "The Current." Most of the work is done in class, aside from actual filming.
