Pre-Requisite: Instructor Approval - Audition

Course Description: Jazz 3 is a part of the MIHS Jazz curriculum and is a year-long performance class for students interested in the study and performance of jazz and jazz-related music. Special skills such as jazz rhythms, jazz harmonies and special articulations are covered, with an emphasis on application for performance. Year long course fee of $350. Scholarships available. No student will be excluded due to financial hardship.

Work Load: This class meets before school. In addition to class meetings, members are also required to attend one 50-minute sectional a week, depending on the time of year and ensemble enrolled.
