Pre-Requisite: EMC411&EMC412-Mandarin Chinese 4. If you are newly enrolled to the district or hoping to enter a level of language out of sequence, your ability to register for the course is contigent on a one hour placement test with a language teacher. Course Description: This course covers the equivalent of the second year of college Chinese (quarters 4, 5, 6; or semesters 3, 4). This course prepares students to communicate successfully about multiple aspects of Chinese culture and society. Conversations and discussions will be in Chinese. Students will also employ the knowledge gained through course materials to develop writing proficiency. College credit may be awarded for qualifying AP Chinese Language and Culture scores. AP course students are encouraged to take the AP examination.
Work Load: 40 minutes of homework nightly
