Pre-Requisite: B or above in French 3 is recommended to be successful in French 4. If you are newly enrolled to the district or hoping to enter a level of language out of sequence, your ability to register for the course is contigent on a one hour placement test with a language teacher. Course Description: The course is intended for students in their fourth year of French. There is a strong emphasis on using French in class. Students will have opportunities to improve their listening skills, speaking skills, reading skills, and writing skills. Grammar will be taught in context. Additionally, students will study contemporary culture in Francophone countries by examining authentic materials. The focus of the class will be communication, and students are expected to be active participants.

Work Load: There is 40 minutes of nightly homework.
