Course Description: French 1 focuses on providing students with a solid proficiency foundation in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. By the end of French one, students should have reached Novice High proficiency (ACTFL guidelines). A special emphasis is placed on francophone culture. Communication will be emphasized in class, and active participation is expected.
Work Load: There is 20 minutes of nightly homework.
