Pre-Requisite: 1 year of High School Science

Course Description: This Lab Science course exposes students to aspects of the marine world, including aquaculture production, physical and chemical sciences related to marine environments, plant and animal life in marine ecosystems, marine ecology, zoology, and careers in marine science. Students will also be exposed to real world issues such as climate change and habitat loss and hands-on activities based on biological, chemical and physical science properties.

Work Load: Group and Individual work, Project based assessment, Lab Work, Hands-On activities

Why You Might Be Interested In The Class: Students who enjoy the ocean, marine environments and learning through hands-on activities This course participates in a variety of field trips in marine settings including but not limited to beach environments, boats, and laboratory settings. Students should be comfortable participating in various settings.
