Pre-Requisite: Honors Precalculus CMA 435 & CMA 436 or Precalculus CMA 425 & CMA 426
Course Description: This course follows the College Board curriculum for AP Calculus AB. The emphasis in the course is on conceptual development, with rigor interwoven through the course. Students will be expected to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations. Deep understanding of concepts will be required. The depth, scope, and pace for this course far exceed that of the Intro to Calculus course. Students will be expected to demonstrate understanding of all concepts from algebraic, graphical, verbal, and numerical approaches. College credit may be awarded for qualifying scores on the AP Calculus AB exam. Students who take an AP course are encouraged to take the exam. Daily Homework will be Assigned.
Work Load: Formative/Summative; approximately 4 hrs. weekly
