Pre-Requisite: AP Calculus AB CMA 541 & CMA 542
Course Description: This course follows the College Board curriculum for AP Calculus BC. The emphasis in the course is on conceptual development, with rigor interwoven through the course. Students will be expected to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations. Deep understanding of concepts will be required. Students will review AP Calculus AB topics before moving on to new content. Knowledge will be applied in unfamiliar situations. Concepts must be deeply understood. All concepts will be tested using algebraic, graphical, verbal, and numerical methods. College credit may be awarded for qualifying scores on the AP Calculus BC exam. Students who take an AP course are encouraged to take the AP exam. Daily homework will be assigned.
Work Load: Formative/Summative; approximately 4 hrs. weekly
